Matt, I was just listening to 'track 2' off your website. The official name for this tune is "The Eyes of a Fish". Got me to thinking about when we recorded this. It was not done in a studio (obviously), but was done in our sax players basement on a friends TEAC 4-track reel-to-reel tape recorder. It was a fairly sophisticated unit from what I recall. We did a minimum of recording separate tracks - extra vocals, percussion, etc. but it was mostly done live. A bit of trivia - that's me doing most of the backup vocals and harmony during the singing about two-thirds of the way through the tune. You can distinguish my vocals from Mark's (he did two voice tracks). This is the only song I ever tried singing and drumming at the same time. Not as easy as I thought. I guess I'm not as good as Phil Collins after all. :-D
